eBay Review 2019

eBay Partner

My ebay Rating

Even the user-based marketplace eBay wants you to help advertise and sell items on their platform. All you need to do is find listings you want to help promote, promote them using Ebay’s Partner Network tools, and you get paid!

What is eBay Partner Network?

eBay is your home for growing your business. You already drive traffic to your store and your listings, but did you know that you can make money regardless if your listing sells?

eBay Partner Network is eBay’s in-house affiliate marketing program. By signing up as an affiliate partner, you can offset your seller frees, diversify your revenue streams and increase your earnings.

How much can I make?

With commission rates ranging from 50% to 70% of eBay’s revenue share, there’s no limit to your earning potential.

And for each sale completed by a New or Reactivated Buyer (someone who hasn’t purchased on eBay in 12 months or longer before clicking on your link), your commissions will double.

Existing Buyer New or Reactivated
Gross Merchandise Bought (GMB) $100 $100
eBay Revenue* $10 $10
Earnings as a % of revenue* $60 $120
Earnings as a % of sale $6 $12
Your potential earnings $6.00 $12.00

*eBay’s revenue may vary based on vertical, product or brand, and is only an estimate.

**Need an in-depth look at how much you’ll earn? Check their rate card.

How do I get paid?

With the eBay Partner Network, getting your money is straightforward. You’ll be paid every month via Direct Deposit or PayPal* if you’ve reached the minimum needed for payment ($10).

How difficult is it to get approved as an eBay Affiliate?

They encourage anyone who is interested in becoming an eBay affiliate to apply. If you comply with our Terms and Conditions, the likelihood of approval is very high.

How do I add links to my website and/or social pages?

Once you apply to ePN and become part of the eBay affiliate program, you’ll get access to a variety of banners, buttons, text links, our API and other tools you can add to your site or social page.

Can I be compensated for promoting eBay through social media?

Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr are among the acceptable platforms for promoting eBay and are eligible for compensation. For the most part, if the social platform allows users to add affiliate links then we allow it. Please be careful as you will be responsible for complying with all terms of use applicable to these third party sites if you share Links or Promotional Content on them.

May I use the eBay logo?

Once you apply to ePN and become part of the eBay affiliate program, you will have access to a wide variety of creative resources. You are welcome to use any of the graphics provided, many of which contain the eBay logo. You may not alter or modify any banners or buttons without obtaining prior written permission from eBay. You must also secure permission before using any third party’s copyrighted materials.

Pros

  • There is no marketplace more diverse than eBay. It’s user-based. Someone, somewhere, is selling any legal product you can think of. Nothing can rival that diversity.
  • The most straightforward affiliate sales methods. No complex rules to follow, simply share your share-link for the listing and you earn if someone buys off it.
  • Double Commission for the first 3 months. Extra revenue is always nice.

Cons

  • If an auction takes over 10 days to end, you earn nothing– even if you’re the one that sent the winning bidder there. The downside of the auction side of things.
